ABSTRACT SUBMISSION RULES AND INFORMATION

Deadline for Abstract Submission: September 6, 2025 Abstracts submitted after this date will not be accepted.

General Rules:

  • The primary author must have no outstanding membership fees with the Association. This requirement does not apply to professionals from other scientific fields or to international participants.
  • Abstracts must be submitted only through the online abstract submission module available on the congress website: www.tbgk2025.org.
  • Ongoing studies with incomplete results and review articles will not be considered. Abstracts to be presented at the congress should be original experimental or clinical research with a clear scientific contribution and must convey a final message.
  • Case reports involving a single case can only be submitted as posters.
  • Authors must indicate their presentation preference (oral or poster) in the submission. Abstracts must be prepared in both Turkish and English. However, all presentations will be delivered in Turkish.
  • Oral presentations are limited to 5 minutes. Poster presentations will also be 5 minutes long and must be presented at the designated time and location announced in the scientific program.
  • The abstract body is limited to 300 words. The system will not allow submissions exceeding this limit.
  • During submission, authors must select the relevant scientific subtopic from the list below. Please classify your abstract carefully.

  • The font used in the abstract submission system is standardized and cannot be changed.
  • The abstract title must start in uppercase and no abbreviations should be used in the title.
  • The full name, institution, and city of the authors must be clearly indicated in the designated section of the system. No references to the institution or researchers should be included within the abstract body.
  • Academic titles should not be used in author names.
  • The presenting author must be indicated by underlining their name.
  • Abstracts must include the following structured sections: Objective, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
  • Standard abbreviations may be used in the abstract. For non-standard abbreviations, the full term should be given in parentheses at first use.
  • A maximum of two tables and one figure/image may be included.
  • Any project or research funding should be indicated in the “Note to Scientific Committee” section.
  • Abstracts will be published as submitted, so please ensure proper grammar and spelling. Authors are responsible for all errors.
  • Once an abstract is submitted to the Scientific Committee, no changes can be made (e.g., authorship changes or change of presenting author).
  • The Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any submission and to change the presentation format or category.

 

ABSTRACT EVALUATION

  • Abstracts will be evaluated anonymously (authors’ names and affiliations will be hidden) by the Congress Scientific Committee and relevant subject-matter reviewers through the online system. Notification of acceptance/rejection and presentation format (oral/poster) will be sent by email approximately 1 month before the congress. Results can also be tracked through the online submission system.
  • There is no limit on the number of submissions; however, an author may present a maximum of two abstracts as presenting author (e.g., one oral + one poster or two posters). Two oral presentations by the same author will not be accepted.
  • The evaluation committee reserves the right to change the presentation format.
  • If there is any suspicion that a submitted abstract is not original or copied, the Scientific Committee may request additional evidence from the authors.
  • To be evaluated, the presenting author must complete congress registration by the abstract submission deadline.

POSTER PREPARATION GUIDELINES:

  • Posters must be prepared on a single page.
  • Dimensions should be 70 cm wide and 90 cm high.
  • Posters will be displayed in the area, date, and time specified in the scientific program.
  • The top of the poster must include the presentation title, authors' names, and affiliations.
  • Posters should be readable from a distance of two meters.
  • All necessary materials for mounting the posters will be provided on-site.
